An in depth look at the Book of Proverbs.With 31 writings of Wisdom in this book, we have one for each day of the month. Many Christians I know read from this Book as part of their daily devotions. I'd like to share daily with my brothers & sisters in Christ what each one speaks to me. I encourage you to participate. Please feel free to contribute your thoughts and what the Lord lays on your heart concerning this wonderful book of Truth.
"Make your ear attentive to wisdom,
Incline your heart to understanding;
For if you cry for discernment,
Lift your voice for understanding;
If you seek her as silver
And search for her as for hidden treasures;
Then you will discern the fear of the LORD
And discover the knowledge of God.
For the LORD gives wisdom;
From His mouth come knowledge and understanding.
He stores up sound wisdom for the upright;
He is a shield to those who walk in integrity."
- Proverbs 2:2-7
I use several versions of the Bible in my study and my writings. While I prefer the King James and the Interlinear versions, they can be a little more difficult to use when sharing. I do use them occasionally, but most often I will quote from the NKJV or the NAS. If some of the verses I quote appear different, that is because I also do use the RSV, NIV, and CJB translations as well as JP Green's Literal Translation, Rotherham's Emphasized Bible, the Septuagint, Websters and JB Phillips New Testament.
